About MetaVarsity
MetaVarsity is a college of metaphysical study, which develops, markets and delivers classroom-based learning, distance learning and products related to the field of metaphysics.
This website is owned and managed by MetaVarsity (Pty) Ltd, which is a company registered and operational in South Africa (2010/009484/07) and is also registered for VAT (Value Added Tax) (VAT No. 4170218533). Robert D’aguiar is the director of this company.
This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and MetaVarsity chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature, PO BOX 2848, Clareinch, 7740, Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa.
Ordering and Shipping
The shipping fee for delivery within South Africa is included in the cost of all courses and products. International shipping fees are calculated when your order is processed. You will receive an e-mail within 24 hours of your purchase confirming that MetaVarsity has received your order and is processing it. If you have not received this confirmation e-mail within 48 hours of your purchase, please contact MetaVarsity.
Subject to availability and receipt of payment, all items in stock are delivered to your nearest Post Office within 10 working days (within South Africa), or within 21 days for international deliveries. You will be required to sign for your parcel at the Post Office.
Payment and Privacy
Payment may be made via Visa or MasterCard credit cards. Credit card transactions will be acquired for MetaVarsity by PayGate (Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gateway for Standard Bank of South Africa. PayGate use SSL3 and no credit card details are stored on the website. Users may go to
www.paygate.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy. Client details will be stored by MetaVarsity separately from card details, which are entered by the client on PayGate's secure site. For more detail on PayGate refer to
www.paygate.co.za.
The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. The transaction currency is ZAR (South African Rand).
MetaVarsity shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purposes of this clause, "personal information" shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA).

MetaVarsity is unable to exchange items that are not damaged, defective or incorrect. However, if:
a) You have received the incorrect product;
b) Any part of the product is broken or damaged when you receive your package; or
c) An item is missing from your course pack
Please contact MetaVarsity by email within 14 days of receiving the product to make the necessary arrangements to replace the incorrect/damaged/missing item.
You then need to return the original incorrect or damaged item to us within 14 days of your e-mail to MetaVarsity. If you do not return the original item by the end of the 14 day period, MetaVarsity reserves the right to charge an amount equal to the price of your original item to the payment card you used for the order.
The provision of goods and services by MetaVarsity is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability, MetaVarsity will refund the client in full within 30 days.
Tuition Fees
A registration deposit (applicable to Class Based Courses only) is payable on registration. The registration deposit is not refundable, unless the programme is cancelled by MetaVarsity or registration is withdrawn by the learner 30 days or more prior to classes commencing.
These are the following possible methods for payment of tuition fees:
Upfront – Full fees payable on registration.
Instalment – registration deposit plus a monthly instalment over a fixed period, payable by the end of every month once course commences. Debit order only.
MetaVarsity reserves the right to withhold assessment results and access to the campus until outstanding accounts are settled in full.
For outstanding study fees MetaVarsity reserves the right to charge interest at the maximum permitted amount above the prevailing prime overdraft rate, as charged by Standard Bank on all overdue accounts.
Cancellation
In the event of any learner desiring to terminate studies, for any reason whatsoever, this shall not absolve the learner or other learners from full liability for payment of study fees less fees already paid. Mitigating factors will be considered on a case by case basis. Any cancellation should be in writing to the Curriculum Manager. The following principles apply to course cancellation:
a) If the course is cancelled more than 1 month (30) days before the course commencing, the deposit will be refundable.
b) If the course is cancelled within one month (30) days or less of the course commencing, the deposit is non-refundable.
c) If cancellation occurs two weeks (14 days) after the course has commenced and deferment of studies is not an option, the deposit is non-refundable and full fees are payable.
d) In the event of the deferral of studies, the deposit will be held over until the commencement of the next course. Should studies be further deferred by the learner, the deposit will be forfeited.
Cancellation of orders by you, the client, will attract a 5% administration fee.
General
MetaVarsity takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website, client service and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods.
MetaVarsity may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
